Abolishing Whiteness

چکیده
The power, privilege, and oppression paradigm that most schools of social work currently espouse to are often taught through an experiential approach whiteness, privileging the majority white students with opportunity explore their identity at expense learning Black/Brown, Indigenous, People Color (BIPOC) in classroom. Many BIPOC experience these courses as a hostile environment, finding themselves racial group identified contrast whiteness – oppressed, marginalized, silenced, powerless. This paper presents innovative course outline using Critical Race Theory White Studies theoretical frameworks decenter attend needs students. Using two frameworks, will learn history hierarchy humans; construction evolution anti-black racism extension other people color; relationship between supremacy racism.
